David began his painting career in the late ‘70’s when he joined a company specializing in the complete interior and exterior restoration of Victorian houses in San Francisco. Since this time he has successfully accomplished projects ranging from small detail brushwork, faux finishing, color consulting, wood staining and finish, epoxy floor coatings, to large-scale build outs. His team of dedicated, well-trained, skilled painters has successfully tackled most every kind of painting project associated with the transformation of commercial and residential environments. Using the most eco friendly paints and products (either low or no VOC), the team is well versed in their application.

David moved his company to the Boulder area in 1983 and has completed projects throughout the Denver metro area. He is particularly known for his skill in communicating effectively with clients and delivering quality projects in a timely, professional manner.

CORNER IN 10 EASY STEPS:

1. No need to consult your horoscope.

2. Don't believe the myth that anyone can paint. Know your limits.

3. Definitely don't be in a rush.

4. Know the difference between a latex (water) brush and an oil.

5. Don't ever select more than 3 diffrent color options; its's like chocolate, one gets confused and can't decide.

6. Spend more time than you want to preparing the spac and surfaces before painting. Remember, th key to a good job is proper prep work.

7. Tape is your friend, however know the difference between yellow and blue.

8. Always paint ceilings before walls.

9. Remember, the new carpet goes in after the painting.

Any plans for remodeling on your home built before 1/1/78???
Did you know that as of 4/22/10, there is a Federal Mandate which stipulates that the project must tested for lead contamination and if found must be contained properly by a certified renovation, repair and painting professional?

David was just certified by the EPA as a “Certified Lead-Free Renovator” on 3/1/10. Bottom line if your house or building was built before 1/1/78 there is a good possibility that the paint which was used contained a percentage of lead. Lead in those days was added for durability and brilliant color. What was not known at the time was the harmful health effects on people, particularly children under the age of 7. Therefore if you are planning a renovation project on your pre-’78 house, do have David perform a lead test to see how extensive the project must be contained BEFORE beginning the work. David and his professional paint crew can then perform the painting according to strict EPA regulations to minimize the harm caused by the lead dust.
