David began his painting career in the late ‘70’s when he joined a company specializing in the complete interior and exterior restoration of Victorian houses in San Francisco. Since this time he has successfully accomplished projects ranging from small detail brushwork, faux finishing, color consulting, wood staining and finish, epoxy floor coatings, to large-scale build outs. Using the most eco friendly paints and products (either low or no VOC), the team is well versed in their application.

HOW NOT TO PAINT ONESELF INTO THE PROVERBIAL
1. No need to consult your horoscope.
JUST OFF THE PRESS!!!
David was just certified by the EPA as a “Certified Lead-Free Renovator” on 3/1/10. Bottom line if your house or building was built before 1/1/78 there is a good possibility that the paint which was used contained a percentage of lead. Lead in those days was added for durability and brilliant color. What was not known at the time was the harmful health effects on people, particularly children under the age of 7. Therefore if you are planning a renovation project on your pre-’78 house, do have David perform a lead test to see how extensive the project must be contained BEFORE beginning the work. David and his professional paint crew can then perform the painting according to strict EPA regulations to minimize the harm caused by the lead dust.
