CONSTRUCTION WASTE RECYCLING
1. Reduce is the first rule of recycling! Keep scrap visible and accessible to your crew and ask them go to the scrap pile first before taking a fresh stick of lumber, a full sheet of OSB or plywood to make that short cut. You’ll be amazed how much material you can save while reducing project costs.
2. Reuse is the next rule. As much as possible, take your clean wood six feet or longer and your OSB or Plywood scraps bigger than 4ft sq to Resource. They take much more than you can imagine for others to put to good use.
3. Recycle is the last stop before things end up in the landfill. Western Disposal will take clean wood, OSB and Plywood scraps for a small fee and grind them into mulch.
Using every thing you can, dropping reasonably sized materials at Resource or clean scrap at Western will save tons of space in our land fills and may even reduce your bottom line!
